Thanksgiving 2006

What a glorious day! There was a stuffed turkey roasting, potatoes boiling, butternut squash in the oven, yams baking, greenbean casserole baking, pumpkin pies cooling on the pie rack, things were happening! There was going to be a festive, thankful feast!

I was thankful because Amy was home for Thanksgiving! Amy was thankful to get a big home cooked meal, and Jim was thankful just to be home and not at work!
Yippie!
We laughed and we talked, the potatoes we peeled, the turkey was ready, so we gave thanks for our meal.
We ate and we ate until we were stuffed. I said "No more please! I've had more than enough!"
The waist of my pants felt much, much too tight, so I opened the top snap and bid a good night.
I had sweet dreams of pumpkin pie brought to my bedwhile visions of turkeys danced in my head.
In the morning we woke there was time for more fun.
So we started to joke about all we had done.
